This is a great guide.

My only question is on the login screen there is the background with multiple colours.
How do I change this to my desire image as I cannot find the correct thing to change

Normally it's listed as login or something but I can't find it.

In this tutorial I will take you through the steps to fully customise splash screen and main screen as its not a case of switching images.

Start off with splash screen or load up screen and login screen if not sure what it is. All editing is to be done in res/drawable folder. First thing first is to work out colours you will like to use. The way I sorted this was look at res/value/color and get codes for colours needed. For my main page I chose transparent for those that aren't familiar with color hexcode it is #0000ffff will make your buttons see through.
To edit splash screen you need to go to res/drawable/splash_new_backgrounds.xml. in here it gives you 2 colour options from to. If you desire it to be a block colour have them same code. Then save.

Next you go back to drawable folder and edit 7 xml's. These are for main buttons live_focus, live_without-focus, series_focus, series_without_focus, vod_focus and vod_without_focus.
Last one is the bottom 3 buttons this is green_without_focus. Edit all these xml's and change all logos and backgrounds you can create an app just like I have done.

Sorry for the ULTRA noob question but what are you guys using to edit the Smarters app? Also, I basically want to edit a friend's app and customize it to my own taste as we both use the same hardcoded URL. Just checking, what is the latest hardcoded version of Smarters available to customize? Thanks for any info.

you nearly answered yourself there m8
MT manager (because its smarters)
extract then goto resources.arsc , select Arsc Editor plus ,
open color/color sroll down to around line 355 or where you see the four CYAN's together I normally change all four to the same colors.

Hello all I was wondering if anyone could help on how to change the colours on the log in buttons and the live with epg header? ive managed just about every other edit but cant for the life of me find how to change these any help would be greatly appreciated, i have tried looking through many posts to see if this has been explained but couldnt find anything

This is just cosmetic the button even if u can't see will still be clickable. Making it unclickable would take more editing

im trying to remove master search completely from home screen but dont know where to look where is strings

Thanks for the tutorial, Read it a few times got my head round it using some of the utiilies found online.
Gone thru all my icons and other items and fine tuned smarters to my liking.

Hope some one can help with this next part, Done some searches but cannot find any info on this.
I download my new look file to my firestick but I get a white border when selecting the Live tv or movies live epg etc etc is there anyway I can change the border on the items/icons when I select them?
Also would like to know if its possible to remove the "By using this app you agree to terms and services" at bottom of 2nd image?
