yep strange that as changing aspect ratio keeps the gray bars

defo an xml within layouts think it's an overlay trying to find it now using developer assist apk

res/layout/activity_exoplayer_sky.xml think it's this or res/layout/activity_exoplayer_sky_tv.xml can't pinpoint it with tool i'm using trial and error until it breaks lol

This is not for the faint hearted to edit over 2,000 images all shapes and sizes
you only really are going to want to change the logos used and rename the app and package which is pretty straight forward
I changed one of the background images to test as seen in video , not a major headache but feel these could be done from a panel further down the line , as they are i dont think many people are going to click on them and i dont think they are auto rotating either.

Definitely the player itself as using external player has no grey side bars

MX or VLC any external player will do as the error is in the inbuilt live tv player note not in series or movies that use the same player trick is to get a player that lets you scroll channels

not a fix but a work around
to get rid of gray bars using the default players do thi
select a channel then on the overlay at bottom select multiscreen , now select two screen but only click on one
then bars disapear
this is pointing at a little line in the code somewhere
