don't worry, you're not going nuts
as the app is "currently", remote logo change only affects "specific" sections of the app that uses the "logo webview"

you'd have to edit the layout xml of the sections/categories you're interested in to make it use either "remote logo webview" or standard logo "image view" in-app

Good to know I was really confused because I couldnt find the edit for the others to change from panel thanks for the heads up

Change all backgrounds to 1280x720 HD resolution that worked for me

I don't remember how many, I just changed all the ones that had a resolution higher than FHD.
