For some reason I've been editing the app but every time it's built won't install all I've done is hide the original icons with a bank image png

............ I think it's a great feature especially when you can download a few movies before a road trip where you signal is going in and out. Doesn't sound like much of a gimmick to me.
yep, spot on point about download feature coming in handy in situations with "unreliable" internet connection
also stands to reason that just as people intending to record "a fair bit" of stuff with tivimate or whatever would ensure that they've got the device/space for it.... so also anyone expecting to download should/would ensure they've got the device/space for it

very unlikely that a simple image change "alone" would stop the app from installing

you said it wont install???...... showing what error? what device(or emulator)? any other useful info?
generally speaking, simple image swap shouldnt/wouldnt halt app install as app would most likely install but probably crash in cases where any 'key' edits are done incorrectly

have you tried editing with different editors or install the app on different devices?

three common culprits when apps fail to install (all other things being 'on point') are *package name conflict(another app with same package name is already installed), *device low on space, and *app being incompatible with device e.g. os version, missing libs, sdk level etc

Anyone managed to get the OpenSubtitles API to work. I'm trying, but not getting very far. Even if someone wants to point me in the right direction.
