Everyone seems to love the Sky Glass themed apps so I brought over all my changes to the modified Smarters with app launcher that I found here:

EDITS TO MAKE IT WORK:

For my intro, it seems to be too large to upload to the panel in the Intro Video section. Workaround is to upload uploadthisfirst.mp4 then FTP into your host and navigate to your panel directory, go to /img/ and replace blank.mp4 with mine that I've included in the download.

To point app to your panel, use your preferred editor and navigate to:

smali/f/j/a/f/g$a.smali

Search and replace http://your.host/folder on line 18

If you'd like a different app to SmartTube, change package name to the app you want to launch in the same g$a.smali file on line 30

I think that the best way to contribute is by uploading only the theme files, because many times we upload apps and others arrive and make image changes and upload even with fewer reactions and the original post stops receiving reactions because it is lost, that's how I have Several publications that I was the first to upload an app, others arrived, changed the image and goodbye to my reactions to the original post,that's why I'm discouraged to upload more content

I made edits to:

shape_round_border_white.xml
shape_vod_layout_focused.xml
shape_small_boxes_layout_focused.xml
list_item_bg_pressed.xml
shape_button1.xml
shape_button_focused1.xml
shape_line_login_fields_focused2.xml
activity_new_epg.xml (in all layout folders)
Then a load of changes to colors.xml file

Changed all the icon set to these images, made a quick icon for the SmartTube button. Then made a new intro to use for the app.

Couldn't really upload that as a theme file and not trying to take reactions away from anyone either. I did put some work into swapping this over to the app launcher version of Smarters I found on here. I like the look of it so thought someone here might like it too.

On the reaction thing ? I looked at this when I first joinned here and quickly worked out putting something at 500 reaction is ONLY going to get a reaction from those who download it if they even bother to click like ? put something more attainable like 50 or 100 and you will get a lot more people able to download it and therefore click a like ? this in turn bumps your reaction score up.
Its deciding what to set things at that makes the difference for sure.
I now tend to post theme files for free without any panel or apk files as these are already on here in many shapes and forms ,and I then ask please smash a like if your going to use this theme / surprisingly people do.
I seldom post apk or panel files unless they are older versions of existing files.
We need people to buy VIP to pay for site costs else it would not be here in the first place so I think the reactions are a good system to use as many just will not build up thier reaction scores and pay for VIP which is fair enough.

EDIT:- I think its fair to mention that the support with problems is not mentioned enough on here ,I myself have used it many times by asking a question I just cant work out the answer for , the problem solving is an essential part of the forums that should also get reactions but seldom do

I've removed panel files, added a link to where the panel can be found on this site and lowered reaction requirement to 100. In fairness, I thought having the panel files with it and original reaction score from that panel would attract people to VIP then they can download anyway with a like. So thought it's a win for me and a win for the site. I've paid VIP a few times now, think I still only have nearly 60 reactions.

Yeah, to be honest when I heard Sky were making a TV, it made me chuckle. Only companies I'll ever get a TV from is Samsung or LG, they pretty much provide the rest of the industry with decent panels. IPTV users seem to love the whole Sky theme, maybe its just because they're accustomed to the blue guide etc. Who knows.

Replace YouTube package name with Plex package name

Would need to go to:

smali/f/j/a/f/g$a.smali

There's a package name in there for SmartTube, can change it to Plex's package name. On my android phone its this but you'd need to check yourself if it's right for your device.



Then you'd need to change the YouTube premium icon I've added to a Plex logo.

hi felixschrodinger very nice app just a question about changing the youtube app lol ive changed the youtube app to a cinema app and the smarters app dont seem to show the cinema app image in smarters and it was the same for the youtube app and ive tried editing the apk the image i want using the simple edit on apk editor and just wondering am i right in trying the edit this way?

In order for SmartTube to open when you click it you will need to download it on the device. But you can edit the package name in the that opens SmartTube to open any app of your choosing.

Location for it is:

Thanks I have the app changed to cinema with no problems but I’m stuck on changing the button image to a cinema 1 I have because no matter what image I change it to I still get a blank button

Should be able to do a simple edit and replace ic_apk_launch.png

Think you might have chose the wrong format image, wrong size or dpi but not 100% sure.

This is the original image for CinemaHD button. If simple edit doesn't work, do what KingPegasus suggested and swap manually. If that doesn't work then somethings messed up, scrap it and start again with the original APK I posted.
