I love this app,,, super lite, rapid fast, tiny (20mb) in size and perfect for all those cheapskates on Lite sticks
Lite's get loads of "stick"
from the 1st gen lol but benchmarks don't lie... Great devices for those not running 4K. Lot of people hate firesticks to be fair, but probably over 90% of users that use one. So when issues pop up, and 90% of the complaints come from the 90% that use sticks, people assume sticks are shit.
Not to teach someone like yourself how to suck eggs obv lol, but hardware's nothing without software optimised for it. Imagine you can get a lesser-known brand with 200MP camera, 16GHz core-clock, 128 cores with 256GB of RAM. You've got all those pixels in your camera but your software is shite at collecting light and processing it. You've got 16GHz core clock, but let's say you have 1 IPC (instruction per cycle) and a high TDP for it, then thats a pretty shit CPU even against a 1GHz Pentium. But, there's hope.... You've got 15 million cores!...... but no decent kernel or software to spread the workload for multi-threaded/multi-core apps. Your 128GB of RAM (obviously companies marketing their product won't post clocks or timings on it if they're shit) is amazing. Remember your CPU is shit and
let's be straight, without slagging China who we all live off, if this was something we'd come across, it's from Shenzhen or Guangdong and running open-source Android.... Been designed to run on thousands of combinations/sub-sets of hardware... It's never gonna efficiently utilise that RAM.
It's why people daftly compare Android to iPhone saying that their Android has more RAM, cores and clocks than the latest iPhone and claim iPhone is ripping you off with older hardware... When in reality they can perform just as good as any flagship Android on less RAM... The key is software designed in mind for the hardware.
They are deffo cheap-skates for not spending the money they've saved on a half-decent device, but everyones running from Sky because they're skint. Anyone who doesn't care about 4K, I recommend a Lite 100%... It's a tiny bit faster than the standard stick from not having HDMI-CEC and IR controls on-board.
