REQUEST how to change these backgrounds (smarters mods)

Its been a long time since i did this butI am looking to hide the box shadow behind the icons , I cant remember if i did it in colors.xml or in a file where i set it to gone ? also then you navigate around the main screen the selected icon shows a white box around it ? this again i remember changing the thickness and hiding it but cant remeber how ? anyone can help be very grateful I realise using a black background would hide the shadow box around the icons but would prefer it gone

Prob 4got something but off top off my head that majority of it....obviously in multiple layout folders

Set android:visibility=“invisible” for the frame layout. Or just delete android:background=“xxxxx”

that took both boxes out but after a bit of trial and error i decided to keep the small boxes for updating managed to get it how i wanted it thanks to the help on here nice one lads clean looking

Yea I only removed on movies and Series as added CHD but left on TV for that reason

exactly, it's the route i usually take as previously mentioned saves time messing in multiple layouts
good thing is that depending on the layout, theme or what one wants to achieve there's usually multiple ways?.....
so long as one gets there in the end and gets the style or design they're aiming for then happy days?
