This is quite a straight forward little mod you can do yourself that just makes life for ocd better
To do this you will need button mapper and of course a remote control.
These are little stickers you put over the buttons on your remote control and then remap the button to open an app directly
I used the button mapper on my Nvidia Shield to button map the netflix button to directly open Syncler but i never actually used it
dont know why i think because there was no visual cue that it was syncler
I decided to buy some Tivimate stickers as i use it quite often for my live tv (ftg tivimate on shield works 100%)
and as soon as i added the sticker and remapped the button i found i use it all the time , that visual cue again
I ordered two but actually got six so had four spare , then looking at my TV remote the buttons for direct links are the same size so can use them on my tv remote if i want to, I think these also fit certain Firestick remotes but would not use Tivimate unless paid for.
There is a decent selection to choose from as you can see in the images above even has smarters button
I bought them from Dingbat Designs off Ebay think they worked out for the six around 90p each.
