@G-man , simplicity of ibo is deffo one of its strong points
as a master of superb designs yourself sure you can appreciate how much a lil change in font, colour, layout, images, gifs etc can jazz n bling up an app...... with people having different tastes, each one wants to make theirs look unique n stand out from others in any lil way even if it's just an image, icon or color change so although it may not necessarily "need" additions, people will almost certainly "want" to add to it
sure a theme or layout may start looking 'crowded' if too much is packed in but it still doesnt take away from the app's simplicity as its core functionality n "under the hood stuff" are still the same.... plus one theme/style might seem too busy for one whilst same theme/style hits all the right spot for someone else
heck even ibo dev(or someone) tweaked the app and changed the homescreen layout n added time, favorite, search, catchup, recent movies & watch now box then whacked on a new name to it called vu player pro

once past that homescreen you'll find it's still good ol' simple ibo at the core
