Oh god Kodi now that takes me back remember doing my own called easybox back in 2016. The time I spent updating and cleaning it up to look good. Now wouldn't know where to start

another nice smarters layout and a solid theme you've got going in there g-man
kinda forgot about that layout n couple other cool smarters layouts recently having got head stuck in so much fun old kodi skins/theme layout and messing with sparkle
but think this might make for a nice ibo layout too, probably moving/removing some stuff at top right quarter of the layout to make room for ibo ads or maybe leave out ads n just rock it as is, either way will be interesting to explore

The person that made this layout has already added to top right corner adds we were chatting about it and he did it quite quickly the version you probably have will need the missing lib files for sticks re added , love the layout but it seems to have been passed by , I think i have done three or four themes with this and like them all , it especially lends itself well to teams like NFL teams or footy teams

I started to mess with layout and colors etc with something called XVM some 13 years ago Its a mod basically for the game "world of tanks" but that gave me a good understanding of tweaking things ,moving items on screen etc. I took this into Kodi and once I settled on the skin I liked I modified that think it was Aon Nox but I changed everything over time to my own and like you said it was a fully time job just keeping the build working , this was just before Android apps became big news , at the time there was Kodi or Perfect player with that god awful long longin string Kodi started to die off a little as Android apps became more diverse so I started to look at them , I also had a couple of good kodi gurus back in the day who helpped me understand things , One of the things we did was Kodi at the time was not an android app it was windows only so had to be converted to an APK ? my friend John was the first to do this anywhere but it also led to looking at other android apps which eventually led away from Kodi , the two main people who helped me stayed with Kodi or didnt want to branch into Android so I jumpped in with both feet and was dead lucky I landed in a little group of people who were way and above my level of knowhow but who didnt mind sharing things would say there were no more than ten of us in the group and all are still around today some very prominent in the android world .
I just try to make things look nice on screen (lipstick on a pig) while these lads were way ahead of the game .
May father always used to say to me in RL "its not what you know its who you know" this is especially true in the android scene

Some night just sitting one eye on TV the other on phone, looking through different styles, buttons, colours, and seeing if I can do a theme based on that. It's a never ending game. My app has gone through so many changes lol.
It's all fun and very intresting. I'm going to take a look at moving the icons around, and changing the layout, although the first few attempts left me with blank screens. lol

Ya a lot say that but I find it fine as maybe it's the only and first app I worked on. Would love to find out how to move things around

yes, top right corner is an obvious option and wouldn't actually take too much to insert into that particular smarters app compared to, say, building/replicating this entire layout from scratch on another app like xciptv or ibo

something sport themed does indeed look good as you suggested, having recreated the theme from scratch on ibo and played with a few sports icons

no decent png for kareem jabbar, west, chamberlain or other major lakers stars for a lakers full house in this one
had to make do with the goat from bulls

aside from sports themed, movie franchise themes like matrix, star wars, transformer themed etc weren't half bad too

ps @G-man , always good to hope n dream.... life of a sports fan lol. bears can always fall back on and reminisce about their history so you've always got that, ask man utd fans
