Can the 2023 firestick 4k gen 2 be fully rooted?

Hi as above i have seen a guide here https://miguelmota.com/blog/rooting-a-fire-tv-stick-4k/ to root an older 3rd Gen Firestick 4k however after opening the stick up to short the boot pin on the board, the heatsink looks completely different to the 3rd gen in shape, so i left taking the heatsink shield off. so I'm unsure if this can be done now? Has anyone had any success in rooting this model, or should i leave well alone? thanks
