Maybe it's just me, but the sports button seems to only work if I start the app in "TV Mode".

If I start the app in "Mobile Mode" on my tablet, it seems I can't touch the icon...

here on mine it's normal for both tv and cell phone

I hate to whip a dead horse, but did you restart the app while in 'mobile' mode when testing?

For instance, if I start the app in 'TV' mode, it works fine. I can flip back and forth between tv & mobile modes. And the sports btn works fine.

However, if I restart the app in mobile mode it stops working.

I have a question Smarters related that I know someone will be able to help with
this is the other new layout for smarters with sports , call it the non adds version
I was wondering does anyone know how to change the bell from a shape to a .png ?
currently there is a ic_bell.png in the apk but there is also an ic_bell.xml that is being read instead of the image ?
I tried a straight rename but app will not load so wondering if anyone can help please ?

Load app up with apk editor, find the ic_bell.xml. Click tick box beside it. Choose details (bottom right). In name Change ic_bell.xml to ic_bell.png and press ok. Come out of drawable folder then back in, look for ic_bell which will now be blank and replace with your png.

Sorry just re-read. Maybe add ic_bell2.png file to drawable. Then search for ic_bell in xml and change to ic_bell2

I tried using gif images but it sisnt work but I dunno if I dis something wrong if this method is the correct way please tell me if I must of done something wrong

This is part of adding a gif, other part is adding pldroid view to the layout<~~~the pain in the ass part ? android does not do gif natively
