Hello! First I introduce myself I am Eliud! and I am a beginner.
I hope someone can help me with my problem.

I am trying to edit the name of an app, (xciptv) but when I change the name in the apk editor and install the app from working.

what am I doing wrong?

your using apk editor ?
MT manager or Studio are prefered tools these days , you may still be able to change the name in apk editor depending on the version you have and what version it signs the apk , you used to be able to rename with apk editor but i am sure it now breaks certain apps

Open APK Editor
Select apk to edit
Choose common edit
Change app name
Build apk

in addition to what @Poncho and @G-man said, also note that some versions are "lib based" meaning for such versions you'll also have to edit the appname in a lib.so file and appname length must be the same as original/initial app
