This is a very short list of places you can purchase domains names and hosting without giving up any information, just pay them in BTC and thats it. How it works they register the domain and everything under their own business name and everything and you just control it, its 100% (relatively speaking) safe.

yeah that works till it doesnt. Meaning when and if they lock your account? now you have to provide them documents to prove your identity now you have no choice but to commit fraud and Photoshop up some documents. Also they log all that metadata and will give it up without a blink of an eye. please take a look at https://njal.la/blog/ nov 20 and below.

If you truly care about being anonymous than I highly recommend using a system that was devised with that in mind going other route to save 5 dollars imo makes no sense at all.

the problem with website like njal is you dont own domain. they can do anything with it. I learned on my mistakes and i will never again buy domain from any "dmca" ignored hostings. Blue angel host stole my very popular domain registered for 4 years. millions views per month. i pay for renew as usual but they didnt provide billing. i was sending tone of messeges but they just stop responding for my tickets. when domain expired they renew for themself and changed name servers....

my friends websites were took down from bullet proof domains like .io and they were on dmca ignored hostings. so im sure you never have 100% protection. if big companies like espn cbs or other jump on provider they can do everything...

first off .io means nothing... if the company where you purchase your domain that matters. .io are sold at namecheap you think they will be "bulletproof" also njal has a trackrecord that speaks for itself.
there you go :)

Like I said they have a track record that speaks for themselves.

"there’s an ongoing legal case in Iceland which attempts to unmask the operators of several Njalla domains, so we’ll soon get to see if the service keeps any kind of logs, the cryptocurrency transaction details, or anything that could be used to trace the identity of these users. "

You think "namecheap" is going to go through all that trouble to not give up your info (njal doesnt even have those logs to give) namecheap will give up every metadata they have on you with a request. So you can say "I made up all the info when I signed up" but again still metadata, fingerprinting on top of that your still at the mercy of namecheap, if they lock your account how you going to get back teh account/domain? with made up info? so that same threat model you seem to be against with your example of blueangelhost still exist (that they can steal your domain) that threat still exist with namecheap just in a different way for instance they lock your account and now you need to prove that fake idenity to get your domain back.... so How can you prove your fake identity? Only way is to make up documents but now your committing fraud with a registar who will give up all your info.

So again you have to ask yourself what is your privacy worth to you, maybe to you its not worth an extra $5 bucks to other it is.
