as a lil followup (again) to the hardcoded 722 xplayer and also following a user's request few days ago, below is a "VODonly" hardcoded version xc 723 Xplayer with slight changes to layout/icons geared towards a focus on vod
("removed" icons not related to vod like sports guide account livetv catchup etc whilst adding dual options to launch other apps like cinema, plex, syncler or whatever)

clean simple hardcoded vod-only xc (Xplayer 723 VOD)

(**global-search also "removed" as it shows "global" results which includes livetv "if available" **)

lil tip... for devices that allow it, pkgname of "useful" system apps can also be used
example, launching device settings thus providing an in-app easy access to settings for "some" users as in 10sec clip below

this one? For CinemaHD search com.yoku.marumovie to replace with your cinemahd package name and you have to have app seperate anyways pointless in my opinion

Could this be paneled? I'm wanting to make a sky glass version but I want to have the Plex and Cinema HD buttons. And I'm not real sure what all I would need to do as far as changing the code to make those buttons open apps instead of opening things like video on demand.

Any ideals?

So I thought about it logically and I considered the mega panel but then I wouldn't have any control over the app icons and stuff like that so I'm assuming I would have to do something like this and Android Studio which I'm new too. My intent is to make a TV button guide button and Plex button sky themed of XC. Any suggestions where I should start or any information or ideas they have please post to reply.

Got this working good with a panel only problem is when selecting movies series etc on firestick there's no magnified or highlited selection on the icons you justhear the clicking is there anyway to fix this

hi @dazbrin
does yours work/navigate as shown in the video? (red bar under the section selected or magnified top/bottom items when selected)
if no, then check that your edit is ok by simply downloading the app afresh and only put in your dns as per step2
for good measure maybe test on other devices
