Xc is easy. Just use common editor in your apk editor

I watched the video and first thing i thought of was "why is he using apk editor"? you may have a version that signs the smarters app correct ? I have only had problems doing any edits and saving and signing with apk editor , not on firesticks they work fine but on anything that uses android 11 and above , like nvidia shields it breaks the apk and the search option.
like i said you may be using a different version of apk editor than me

I just use apk editor and never had an issue with it, running apps on my personal nvidia shield pro with android 11, firestick, emulator and android phone. MT manager is good but think apk editor just shows the process more simply and also shows the path and line for the edit place for people used to MT manager and would rather use that

I don't think so, this one in particular I get a gray screen bug when changing the app_name name, apparently I'm doing something wrong.

Xc is just a comm edit for name change, try a different editor

two places to change name , in the config file and the strings , both need to match also if renaming package you have to change in config file and the android manifest else epg breaks amongst other things
