Some Colour Settings

Had a quick look last night while looking for this came across the EPG, pity it's only one liner and half a line at that, so went playing with the colour and size of the EPG.
I have increased the space for EPG but as of yet can't find when I can add extra lines for it.
First time looking at XC but seems alot easier than Smarters lol

BTW is Neutro any good over XC or Smarters ?

Neutro is a slimed down version of IMPlayer or mytvonline

there are a few versions on here m8 i know that a new version dropped this week 1.9.6 but not seen it modified just yet

Thanks that was the one i was looking at, I got one that said it was modded but when I tried to play the VOD is said to buy the Plus version

Just tested the playstore version, and has full EPG once you set it to more, which is great no more one liners lol.
Seems fast on PC emulator will test with box tonight.
Did you say its here but not modded, the version from 1.9.6.1 has the EPG guide fixed, so may look for that and try modding it

I just started to look at XCIPTV and the layout, does anyone know how to add a border around the icons for select, hopefully I'll learn a bit on the way that I can share like with Smarters. Thanks

guessing you're talking about having a border or stroke around whatever icon is selected/focused? like the white selection on livetv in pic below?


if no, then ignore below lol

but if yes, typically speaking, xc uses "selectors" for the "apearance" when icons are selected focused or unfocused on that mainscreen - so the drawable files specified in the selectors can be edited to have borders for focused state (or define something else in the selector)

note though that the process may differ slightly or massively depending how substantially the app in question has been edited to differ from the typical/standard selector behavior/parameters within the usual xc apps.....
for example with the edit for the xc in the vid clip below, the typical xc selector 'using' drawable pngs is scrapped in favor of simple shape color stroke selector in conjunction with simple text (similar to ibo)

bottom line being that one way you can achieve your goal is by using/editing the selector(s) and defining attributes & use of drawable png etc as you desire




ps, as @TheOne suggested, you may want to create a new thread regarding 'xc and this/related xc edit topic' in line with your initial xc edit question..... as it would make it easier for someone interested in or searching for the topic to find it

and within such thread, if you wish*, you can even post the app(or the xml layout code snippet) you showed in your initial question so people interested to check it out for you and help out may chip in if they wish

Hi Lads

I'm looking to see if it's possible with SMARTERS to be able to change the text in the EPG to change from white to black on roll over, as I wanted to use a orange select colour but the white blends in too much, it's a bit like the sky guide. Thanks

with smarters there is only one text color that by default being white even when moused over its white its the background changes when moused over in smarters epg.

if you look in colors.xml the epg has its own set of colors although they are not always used in some versions of smarters



The one color you wantv to edit is epg_event_layout_text in both images above its set to white (#ffffff)
if you change that color value (i used a cyan color ) it looks like this :-



just experiment with it but there is only one color for epg text.

Thanks I was looking at adding a second colour and use the state function to get it to change to black on mouse over and set the select bar to orange same as sky as the white is hard to see

lol you need one of those magic wand things m8 smarters is the most unforgiving app to play with ,some can change layouts etc but a limitted few , the different layouts you mostly see on here are done in other places and posted here , smarters is hard to do
